I'm just finishing up a client order and ran across these photos of this little one and her dad. I love the emotion captured here.

I had a fun session last night with two families who are long time friends - the dad's went to high school together.

We started out at Palisades Park in Federal Way for some family shots.



























Then we went down the road to Dumas Bay Beach for some group shots and candids.

I'm busy working on a client order today and while finishing up their images I found this family portrait taken in downtown Tacoma. This is my favorite type of family photo - one where you can feel the emotion.

As a photographer, I'm always working to improve my craft. My current focus is to improve my non-people photos. Yesterday, I had a little project to photograph non-people. Here are a few of my favorites.








Of course, I had to photograph a few people too. Especially when the kids found a snake . . .

I met this family at Dumas Bay Beach in Federal Way on yet another beautiful and warm summer evening.

I met these siblings and their Mom at Dash Point State Park this morning. What a gorgeous (and hot!) day it was. The tide was way out too giving us a lot of beach to play with.







Then we took some senior portraits at the barn where this senior used to keep her horse.

I met up with this extended family at Palisades Park in Federal Way last night. Candid shots are always my favorite, so I really enjoyed being able to capture the kids in action on the big toy.
